This photo was taken in 1942 or 1943, in the car park to the left of Brampton Grange/The Grange Hotel. Of the men pictured, only Major Henry Bascom Williams (fourth kneeling figure from left) has been identified. Major Williams was killed in a B-17 crash, 14 September 1943 on Skiddaw Mt. near Mt. near Keswick, England.
