From: Margaret Mason, local history recorder Coney Weston, Suffolk, 4 Sep 2007: The memorial stands at the corner of the airfield and is well cared for by a local villager. A few yards away stands the Church which has a further memorial plaque. On Saturday 1.9.07 the church had an open day and on display were photo's of the 388th bomber group.

My father, Wren M. Frith, served in the 563rd Squadron from November 4, 1944 to April 3, 1945, as a ball turret gunner in the crew of pilot Henry Gregorich.
