Pilot was Lt. Gierach. There was a MAC with Girl of My Dreams, which was lost. My brother was on Girl of My Dreams. Unfortunately there was never any communication after the war that might have shed some additioanl information. The information via internet could have been great but, I am a lete comer to this source. I do plan to attend the 388th Reunion in September at Hill AFB. Any information from the crew of Heavens Above would be most appreaciated. Neale Musolff (my brother's military records only used 1 "f") From: James Cooper @ 66.195.188.163 (Fri Aug 22 13:25:17 2008) I have a good friend, James McPherson, 1st Lt. US Army Air Force,from Texas, who was a navaigator on a 561st B-17 who flew his first mission on 6 June 1944 over St. Lo France. He was wounded on his 29th mission and eventually flown back to the US where he was eventually medically retired. Anyone know James? He is now in Boise ID.
